LEGACY - Leadership Empowering Global Academy for Children and Youth, a non profit organization was founded in Saudi Arabia by Mr. Guna and Mr. Xavier. LEGACY focuses in forming clubs in communities, neighborhoods, associations etc... where children can get personalized attention in learning and developing communication and leadership through public speaking, debate, conducting quiz, interviewing VIPs, activities that help in developing and molding the personality of children at a young age.

Legacy Goes International

Recently “The certificate of incorporation of “Legacy International” with the Registrar of Companies for England and Wales was released during a special occasion. Whilst the clubs like Rotary, Lions, Toastmasters and Round Table etc., have their roots in the West the Legacy faculty have succeeded with such a movement in this Holy Land that would spread to the whole world enriching the lives of children.

Dr. Bahafazullah, the chairman of Talal International school (British curriculam) who was the guest of honor said that additional smartness is needed today to face the world as the world is becoming more and more competitive and hoped LEGACY International would continue to offer that competitive edge to the children. He wished this movement every success. Mr. Asif syed, the Director of Talal International expressed his happiness about the way LEGACY enriches the members of the young world.

Legacy Faculty Mrs. Farah Masood in her comprehensive welcome address covered all the aspects of LEGACY Training imparted to children by various LEGACY Faculty members.

The unstinted efforts of Legacy faculty in training toddlers in the fine art of public speaking, conducting quiz sessions, interviews, participating in group discussions and deliberations was quite evident during the function. The inauguration of the Jeddah’s 3rd chapter of Legacy was also a part of the evening.

In his speech, Lgct. Mohammed Hamdan student of 8th standard highlighted the importance of self confidence in facing the world. Lgct is a short form for the title Legacite which every member of LEGACY receives. Yet another Legacite Mohammed Faisal with a flair in the language of English displayed an articulate speech. Jimmy Thomas a Legacite and student of 10th std proved his ability in keeping the entire crowd raptly attentive to his unique display of public speaking.

Beatrice a 10th grade student, in her parting speech, emotionally recalled the LEGACY faculty’s commitment in addressing all the behavioral skills of all the Legacites.

Eleven of those exuberant Legacites who are leaving the Kingdom for further studies narrated their personal experience as a Legacite in terms of what all were acquired from Legacy in truly preparing them to go out there into the competitive world and how they learned various communication and leadership skills from fellow legacites.

Legacites Mariam Alavi, Nada Rashid eighth grade students and Siddharth a student of 6th grade displayed their abilities as quiz masters of the evening. The entire quiz sessions were full of fun and informative for the entire audience.

Mr. Xavier Arputharaj, Founder director conducted a very interesting seminar on “Parenting” that lasted for an hour and was followed by a very informative question and answer session for the benefit of all the legacy parents who were present. Questions included handling of children when a difference of opinion breaks out with parents. Mr. Xavier answered the questions in detail with practicable solutions. “How unconditional love and performance based love can affect the lives of children?” was also a part of the seminar.

A Legacy Parent Mr. Jayesh Kumar, General Manager of Al Jabr Electronics, commended the service of Legacy in paving way to the younger generation for achieving excellence in communication & leadership. Another Parent Mr. K. S. Guna Sekaran said, it is not important how the children behave in our presence. But how they conduct themselves in our absence is more important and he applauded the role played by LEGACY in effectively carrying it out.

LEGACY is to spread its wings to Dubai, where Mr. Xavier one of the founder director is to carry out opening up chapter of LEGACY very soon.

In the Vote of Thanks Mr. Xavier thanked the media and parents for their continued support and the trust parents had in the Legacy Faculty.
